On April 10 of the current year, a presentation of a monograph dedicated to the acquisition of contemporary history documents was held at the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event was attended by representatives of the academic community, deputies, and leading experts in the archival field. Among the participants was also Kuanyshev Zhapsarbay Ilyasovich, Doctor of Political Sciences and a scholar at the Institute of State History, who expressed his support. The presented monograph is a vivid example of the integration of archival practice and scholarly analysis. The work comprehensively examines the issues of acquiring state archives with contemporary documents based on the experience of the Presidential Archive. It also provides an in-depth analysis of both theoretical and applied aspects of forming archival collections. The publication includes a review of domestic and foreign historiography, as well as an analysis of the regulatory and legal framework governing acquisition processes. This contributes to a deeper understanding of the formation of archival collections and their methodological support.
