Nurbek Busyrmanov graduated from Aktobe State University named after K. Zhubanov (Bachelor of History) in 2010, Master’s degree in 2013, and doctoral degree from L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (PhD) in 2019.
He started his career as a history teacher.
Over the years, he worked as an expert of the Science Committee, chief expert of the Committee for Control in the Field of Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 2018-2021, Head of the Department of Internal Policy of Astana.
In 2020-2021, Acting Associate Professor of the Department of Political Science at the L.N. Gumilyov ENU.
From 2021 to 2023, Vice-President for Science of the National Academy of Education named after I. Altynsarin of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Author of 44 scientific and 18 research publications, the textbook “Kazakhstan tarikhy”.
He defended his doctoral thesis on the topic: “National idea as a factor of consolidation of Kazakh society.”
He graduated from the Faculty of History of the Kazakh Pedagogical State University named after Abai in 1979, the Institute of Advanced Training of the Kaz State University named after Al-Farabi (1987). He completed his scientific internship at the Monterrey International Institute (USA, 1994), the Hoover Institute of War, Revolutions and Peace at Stanford University. (USA, 2003). Under the Bolashak State Program, he completed a scientific internship at the Royal Institute of Social History in Amsterdam (Kingdom of the Netherlands, in 2014, 2015, monthly).
In 1988 he defended, and in 1998 he received the degree of Candidate of Historical Sciences, In 1996 he defended his doctoral thesis on the topic “Socio-political and social development of Kazakhstan since 1970-1990.” Professor, Associate Professor of Political Science. He is the author of more than 120 scientific articles, monographs, textbooks for schools and universities in Kazakhstan. He is engaged in the history of the Jochi Ulus-the Golden Horde and the history of modernity. In these areas, he has published 17 articles in the international high-ranking journals SKOPUS, Web of Seins, 9 articles in the COXON of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Scientific Research Center. He is often published on the pages of the press and the media on current issues of our time.
After graduating from the Faculty of History in 1979, he remained at the department as a lecturer. In 1989-1990 he worked as a leading specialist in the Ministry of Public Education of the Republic, from 1990 to 1996 he worked in the office of the President of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic. From December 1996 to October 1998 – Director of the KAZGUU Center for External Relations. From October 1998 to May 2003, he worked as Deputy Director of the Department and Head of the Department. in the system of the Ministry of Information and Public Consent of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From 2003 to 2008, he worked Director-Editor-in-Chief of Kazakh Encyclopedias CJSC. In October 2008, he was appointed Director of the State Institution “Institute of State History” of the Ministry. Science and Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From 2020 to the present, it is Deputy Director of the State Institution “Institute of State History” of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
B.G. Ayagan is an academician of the Kazakh Academy of Education, the Academy of Sociology, the MAIN, the Academy of Education, Honorary Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2022). He is a scientific consultant for the films “Koshpendiler” (Nomads), “Uly dala dubiri”, “Zhau zhurek my bala”.(1000 brave young men), “Hostages of War” (A film about KARLAG prisoners). On the initiative of the scientist, a scientific expedition “Along the paths of the Kazakh Khans” was organized in 2015, dedicated to the 550th anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate. Co-chairman of the Working Group of Historians of Kazakhstan and Russia from 2013 to 2023. Chairman of the League of Professional Historians and Social Scientists. Deputy Chairman of the National Congress of Historians of the Republic.(2013-2019)
Member of the State Commission for Awarding the State Prize (from 2013 to 2023), Member of the State Commission for the Full Rehabilitation of Victims of Political Repression. (from 2019 to 2023), Member of the Republican Onomastic Commission under the Mayor’s Office of Astana (currently)
Ayagan B.G. was awarded the Order of “Kurmet” (Order of Honor) (2014), as well as 8 medals by Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He was also awarded the badge “Baspa zhane polygraphy isinin kayratkeri” (2005). “Birlik” (Unity) Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan (2011), “Gylymga sinirgen yenbegi ushin” (For contribution to science) (2014). In 2022, he received the title “Kazakstannyn yenbek sinirgen azamaty” (Honored Worker of Kazakhstan). He has medals for his contribution to science in the Republic of Turkey.

Yerkebulan Alimkhanovich Zhumashov graduated in 2007 from the Faculty of History of the International Kazakh-Turkish University named after H. Akhmet Yasavi. In 2010, he received a Master’s degree from Ankara University in the Republic of Turkey. In 2020-2021, under the Bolashak International Scholarship program, he studied at the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom. In 2025, he joined the Dissertation Council of the L.N. Eurasian National University. Gumilyova defended her dissertation on the topic “Mechanisms of formation of the Kazakh model of local self-government” and received a PhD in political science.
Yerkebulan Alimkhanovich started his career in 2011 at the Center for International and Regional Studies of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University as a senior researcher. In 2014-2015, he worked as a chief expert at the Zhastar Research Center, in 2016-2019 – as a consultant at the Academy of Political Management of the Nur Otan Party, in 2019-2020 — as a project manager at the Rukhani Zhangyru Kazakhstan Institute of Public Development. From 2021 to 2024, he served as Director of the Center for Coordination of Methodological Work and Professional Development of Teachers at the National Academy of Education named after Yu. Altynsarina.
He is the author of 2 monographs, 4 scientific articles published in journals included in international bibliographic and abstract databases, and 9 scientific articles published in journals recommended by authorized bodies in the field of science. He has published about twenty articles in other scientific journals and conference collections, participated in the preparation of more than ten methodological manuals, analytical notes and explanatory materials.
Kaydarova Asem Serikkazievna was born on March 12, 1982 in the East Kazakhstan region.
Kaydarova Asem graduated from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in 2003, completed a master’s degree in Political Science at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in 2005, and completed postgraduate studies at the Department of Political Science in 2007. She defended her PhD thesis on the topic: “Ulttyk kauipsizdikti kamtamasyz, kontexindegi garyshty igeru salasyndagi Kazakhstan Republikasyn halykaralyk yntymaktastygy” (“International cooperation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of space exploration in the context of national security”) in 2007, her doctoral dissertation on the topic: “Kazakhstan Republikasyndagy ulttyk ideanyn kalyptasuy (sayasattanulyk taldau)” (“The formation of a national idea in the Republic of Kazakhstan (political science analysis)” in 2010.
In 2007-2016, she worked as an assistant, lecturer, associate professor at the Department of Political Science at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
In 2012-2013, she completed a scientific internship in the USA under the Bolashak program.
She has made presentations at international conferences such as the International Conference on Social Sciences (Venice, Italy) in 2012, and the International Conference on Academic and Industrial Research in Business Management and Social Sciences (UAE, Dubai) in 2016.
From 2016 to 2019, she held the position of Deputy Director for Science of the Zhastar Research Center of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Civil Society of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From July 15, 2019 to 2024, she worked as Deputy Chairman of the Board of the NAO “Kazakhstan Institute of Public Development” under the Ministry of Public Development.
Since September 9, he has been working at the Institute of State History.

He was born on May 3, 1987 in the Bayganinsky district of the Aktobe region. In 2008, he graduated from the Faculty of History of Aktobe State University named after K. Zhubanov, and in 2013 he completed a master’s degree in Sociology at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. A doctoral student. He started his career in 2008 as a history teacher. In 2013, he worked as a researcher at the Center for Military and Strategic Studies JSC. In 2015-2017, he held expert and senior positions at the Kogamdyk Kelisim State University under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 2017-2021, he was the chief expert analyst at the Institute of Eurasian Integration, where he was engaged in the preparation and coordination of sociological research. In 2021-2023, he headed the Center for Strategy, Science and Analysis of the Y. Altynsarin National Academy of Education. Since August 2023, he has been the head of the Scientific and Information Department of the Institute of State History.
His research interests include national ideology, political institutions, nation-building, ethnopolitics, educational policy, and the methodology of sociological research.

Karasaev Gani Mukashevich – Head of the Department of Source Studies, Historiography and National History
Born in 1955 in the village of Akzhar, Tarbagatai district, East Kazakhstan region. In 1972, he graduated from secondary school in the village of Pokrovka in the same area. He graduated with honors from the Faculty of History in 1978. From September of this year to May 1980, he worked first as an instructor, then as head of the department of “Sports and General Defense” of the Tarbagatai District Committee of the Communist Youth Union of Kazakhstan. From May 1980 to April 1988, he worked as a lecturer and instructor at the Tarbagatai District Committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan.
At the same time, while serving in the same positions, concurrently, on a voluntary basis, he served as secretary of the primary party organization of the Tarbagatai district Committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan.
In 19991, on behalf of the communists of the region, he was elected a delegate to the XIV Congress of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan.
From April 1988 to September 1993, he worked as the director of the Abai secondary school in the district center, where education was conducted in Kazakh and Russian.
During this period, more than 1,200 students studied at this school. The number of teachers exceeded 120 people. At that time, the Abai Secondary School was popularly called the “University of Tarbagatai district.” Because until the 50s and 60s of the twentieth century, there were no secondary educational institutions in almost all major settlements of the district, so most of the students from these villages continued their studies at the same secondary school named after Abai in grades 9-10 and received secondary education certificates.
Russians Russian language classes in the sovkhozes of the district were closed in the 70s of this century, and many of their students continued their studies in Russian at the Abai Secondary School.
On this basis, among the graduates of all levels of the Abai secondary school in the district center there are well-known scientists in the country and abroad in various fields of science, government and public figures, representatives of culture, public education, etc.
During his time as director of the Gani Mukashevich school, attention was paid on a planned basis to improving the material and technical base of the school, conducting the educational process in accordance with modern requirements, and improving the quality of education. The work on improving the professional education of teachers was carried out systematically.
From September 1993 to July 2013, Gani Mukashevich worked as an associate professor, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Kazakh Language, Head of the Department of History and Law of Kazakhstan at the D.Serikbayev State Technical University in Ust-Kamenogorsk.

Kuanyshev Zhapsarbai Ilyasovich is the Chief researcher at the Institute of State History of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 1979, he graduated from the Kazakh Pedagogical Institute named after Abai with a degree in history and social studies.
In 1982-1986, he completed an internship and studied at the graduate school of the Institute of History of the USSR of the USSR Academy of Sciences, and in 1987 he defended his PhD thesis in Moscow on the topic “Activities of rural and village Councils of the Kazakh SSR (1966-1975)”.
Doctor of political science. In 2001, the dissertation on the topic “Kazakhstan in public and political life of modern Kazakhstan”was defended.

Talgatbek Makhmetovich Aminov was born in 1944 in the village of Koyanbai in the Tavrichesky district of the Omsk region of the Russian Federation.

During his time at the Institute of State History, T.M. Aminov proved himself to be a high-level professional. He actively participates in the development of the fundamental research project of the Department of Source Studies, Historiography and National Historiography “Foreign Policy of Independent Kazakhstan and the regions (1991-2021).” He has prepared and published a number of scientific articles on topical issues stipulated by this project. He is actively engaged in research work in the Archives of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During his time at the Institute, T.M. Aminov has published more than 100 articles on topical issues of the modern history of Kazakhstan, is the author of five textbooks and co-author of four collective monographs.
Scientist T.M. Aminov is distinguished by his conscientious attitude to his duties, professionalism, diligence, and work effectiveness, and he enjoys well-deserved authority in the team.
Nurzhan Konrbaev, PhD, Senior Researcher at the Institute of State History.
He was born on September 12, 1988 in the village of Kogirli, Aryssky district, Turkestan region. He studied at the secondary school “Kogirli” in 1995-2006.
He graduated from the Faculty of History of the International Kazakh-Turkish University named after H. A. Yassawi with a degree in history (2006-2010). He defended his thesis on “Socio-political activities of the Kazakh intelligentsia in the State Duma.”
2010-2012 He graduated from the historical Faculty of the Kazakh National University.Al-Farabi graduated with a degree in Archaeology and Ethnology and earned a Master’s degree in Humanities. Master’s thesis on “Ethnographic data in the works of the Kazakh intelligentsia of the early twentieth century”
2017-2020. during her PhD studies at the Faculty of History of the L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, specializing in 6D020800-Archeology and Ethnology, she defended her thesis (PhD) on “Kazakh Ethnography in the works of Alikhan Bokeikhan” on 04/15/2022.
From 03/11/2024 to 03/11/2025, he completed 1 year of internship at Yeditepe University under the “500 Scientists” project of the Bolashak International Program (Yeditepe Universitesi, Istanbul Turkey). The topic of the scientific internship is “The history of educational and scientific relations between Kazakhstan and Turkey in 1991-2022.”
The main areas of scientific research are Kazakh-Turkish relations, Kazakh history in the works of the Alash intelligentsia, ethnography, political, scientific and cultural ties of the Turkic peoples.
She participated in the following research projects: “Foreign policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the regions (1991-2021)”; 2023-2024 – currently: 2025-2027 – “Theoretical and methodological foundations of the study of the concept of the role of personality in the history of Kazakhstan”.

In 2012-2014, she was the executor of the fundamental scientific project “Kazakhstan Economy: kalyptasuy men damu tarikhy”; 2015-2017. the fundamental scientific project “Special economic zones in Kazakhstan: creation and history of activity (period of independence)”; 2015-2017. she was the executor of the applied scientific research project “Astana – the new capital”; 2021-2022. “Study the history of modern historical science of Kazakhstan and the development of scientifically based concepts, its further development”; 2023-2025. “Foreign policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the regions (1991-2021)”; 2023-2024 – “Evolution of political institutions and structures in the history of Kazakhstan (XIX–XXI centuries)”; 2025-2027 – “Theoretical and methodological foundations of the study of the concept of the role of personality in the history of Kazakhstan”.
