The purpose of the project: to study the evolution of political institutions and structures, to study the processes of development of statehood and political institutions of the Kazakhs in the 19th century, the Soviet political system of Kazakhstan in the 20th century (1917-1991), the political institutions of independent Kazakhstan (1991-2023). The objectives of the project:

– to conduct a historical analysis of the fundamental functions of political institutions of Kazakh society from the 19th to the 21st century. centuries. in the context of the history and continuous development of the Kazakh statehood;

– to study the institutional aspects of the development of statehood and political institutions among the Kazakhs in the 19th century, the political system of Kazakhstan in the 20th century (1917-1991), the institutions of the political system of independent Kazakhstan (1991-2023);
– to analyze the main theoretical and methodological approaches to determining the place and role of political institutions in society, the concepts of “political institution” and “political modernization” in scientific and practical application to the political history of Kazakhstan;
– to review the activities of political institutions based on new historical data and sources, to introduce new sources and archival materials into scientific circulation;
– to study the history of statehood and political institutions in Kazakhstan in the 19th century;
– to study the processes of revival and development of statehood and the political system in Kazakhstan in the 20th century;
– to analyze the processes of formation and development of institutions of the presidency, parliamentarism, political parties and the electoral system in the Republic of Kazakhstan;
– to identify the main aspects of the development of a democratic state in the Republic of Kazakhstan, to identify the causes, conditions and forms of transformation of political institutions.
